Rockmusiikki on 50-luvulla alkunsa saanut musiikin tyylilaji, jolle on kehittynyt monia alalajeja. Rockmusiikin piiriin kuuluu muun muassa punkrock, suomirock, raskas rock ja brittirock. Hanoi Rocksia on pidetty glam-rock -aallon inspiroijana. Muutamia suomalaisen rockin ”tähdenlentoja” olivat esimerkiksi PMMP, Poets of the Fall, TikTak ja Lovex. Vaikka näiden artistien musiikki oli suosittua hetken, ei heistä ole kuultu juuri mitään vähään aikaan. Rockmusiikki on suosittua koko maailmassa, ja varsinkin suomalaiset ovat rockin puolesta. Suomalainen rockmusiikki onkin erityisen hyvää kuunneltavaa.
